Welcome to Stockholm – Here you will find tips on everything
Welcome to Stockholm
From world-class museums and restaurants to cozy cafes and shopping, you'll find tips here
Stockholm is one of the world’s most beautiful capitals and offers a true metropolitan atmosphere, where modern steel and glass architecture coexists with the city center’s ancient buildings in saffron and terracotta red. In summer, the city’s buildings are reflected in the sparkling waters surrounding Stockholm’s 14 islands, and in winter all the buildings are dressed in snow-white winter garb with sparkling lights. In 2010, Stockholm became the first capital city to be named ‘European Green Capital’.
Stockholm is a modern, vibrant city, known for its innovative IT and media companies, tasteful design, sassy fashion and world-class nightclubs. Here you can relax in a cosmopolitan environment with a myriad of cozy cafes and exciting restaurant concepts. It also has one of the world’s most concentrated collections of museums and galleries. Despite this, the city center is so small that you can easily get around on foot. And beyond the crowds and the boutiques and restaurants of the city lies a grand city, resting on an interconnected system of islands.
